Kenya Wildlife Service will on Tuesday May 8, 2012 from 2.30 pm hold one-hour press conference on “Status of Wildlife” in Kenya at the Nairobi Safari Walk. The main purpose of the press conference is to update the public on various issues of wildlife conservation.
Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute (kWSTI) to hold its 10thgraduation ceremony
The Kenya Wildlife Service Training Institute (KWSTI) will on Friday, April 20th, 2012 from 9.00 am hold its 10th Graduation Ceremony at its grounds in Naivasha. A total of 167 graduands will be conferred with Diplomas and Certificates from various environmental, wildlife and tourism-related disciplines. KWS completes training of over 300 community rangers
The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Law Enforcement Academy will on Friday, April 13, 2012 hold a pass out parade for over 300 community rangers. The community rangers have for the last three months been trained at the academy by the KWS in basic paramilitary procedures, ecology and ecosystem management, Management Information Systems (MIST) and enterprise development among others. Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the Ministry of Livestock Development will next week start an extensive foot and mouth disease surveillance in buffaloes in the Maasai Mara, Laikipia and Tsavo areas.
